A live practice experience on how somatic, nervous system–informed training can help you move better, feel better, and build a foundation for your body that actually supports your life.

This is a "behind the curtain" moment.

I've been incorporating nervous system work into Summer Strong for years. That part isn't new.

But in this past year, I started intentionally centering the workouts around the somatic side of what we're doing.

And honestly... I've been a little blown away by how well it works.

People have been saying, "I know I'm doing the same workouts, but somehow it doesn't feel as hard? It's weird... and feels great 🤷🏼‍♀️"

I'm feeling it too, as the teacher. It feels completely different to be leading the workout when I'm prioritizing and supporting my nervous system's experience along the way.

…you’re not doing it wrong.

You’re just missing a key piece.

Your nervous system.

As we kick off this season of

Summer Strong,

I've been talking with people about how excited I am about this next level of these workouts. I found myself trying to explain why.

Like... what exactly are we practicing here?

So I sat down to map it out - and the whole thing kind if dropped in at once.

It became super clear:

There are 10 foundational skills at the core of this work.

These are the same nervous system skills I would teach someone in a 1:1 somatic therapy session.

They're the skills we need if we want to:

  • work with our bodies instead of against them
  • move through stress without spiraling
  • adapt to changing bodies so we can stay in it for the long haul
  • do hard things without relying on override or push-through

We've been practicing them inside the workouts all along, but this next level of subtlety allows us to be more conscious and thus more impactful with the work.

This workshop is me pulling back the curtain.

I'm going to walk you through the 10 somatic skills we're building in Summer Strong - what they are, how they're woven into the workouts, and why they matter. Not just for training, but for:

  • relationships
  • parenting
  • work and leadership
  • navigating this very real & intense moment we're living in
  • and continuing to show up for the things you care about without burning out.

By the end, you’ll:

  • understand why this training feels different (and why it works)
  • be able to recognize these skills as you’re practicing them
  • start to see how they apply to your actual life
  • have a new lens for approaching both movement and stress
  • feel more equipped to support yourself in real time

Also - these are Somatic Skills, which means they happen in the body and not just in the mind.

In this Thursday's experience (and in Summer Strong), we'll be practicing these skills together - so you not only understand them cognitively, but your body/physiology can actually do them in real time, too.

This is the difference between knowing what to do (cognitive) and actually being able to do it (somatic).

Because they live in the body, somatic skills are built similarly to how we strengthen our muscles & connective tissue - through practice.

This really does feel like the next level to me.

Not because it’s more intense - but because it’s more precise.

In some ways, it's more challenging to pay attention to this subtle level of experience.

But when we do, it opens up a whole range of new possibilities for our bodies, mental health, nervous system, and relationships.

You’re already doing this work.

This will just help you see it  and start using it on purpose.

I'm ready to opt in!

This isn't a quick fix - it's a foundation

You don't “nail this” after one class... just like one workout isn't enough to get strong.

With practice, we build somatic skills that are the foundation for:

✨ Catching issues earlier

Instead of injuries or burnout coming out of nowhere, you can begin to notice the subtle signals your body has started to send.

✨ Stop living in constant “go-mode”

You learn how to access micro-moments of rest and regulation, even in a busy life.

✨ Building real, sustainable strength

Not just in your muscles (though we will build these too), but also in your capacity - your ability to handle challenge without tipping into overwhelm.

✨ Do hard things without frying your system

Intensity does not need to automatically equal stress. You can be activated and feel safe at the same time - and this is a practice.

✨ Start to actually enjoy the process

Because when your system feels safe, play, curiosity, and even pleasure come back online.

✨ Feel more at home in your body

This one really matters to me, because I’ve seen how much can change when we feel better on the inside. We move from fighting what’s here to supporting. There’s less noise, and instead, more trust.
