We've also included some other handy links that will take you to introductory materials within the courses – when you start Ski Babes, Balance Training, or Summer Strong you will find this information, we're making sure to sprinkle links to it all over the place to make it as easy as possible for you to find the information you need! 

Order your Toy Package

Mind & Mountain workouts use a three-item "Toy Package" that costs ~$35 if you order online. The first two weeks of our programs are equipment-free to allow for shipping time. We also have access to a list of DIY Toy Package alternatives for the minimalists, tiny cabin dwellers and conscious consumers in the group. Events

We host a handful of different live events over the course of a year! Here's what you can expect: 

  • Orientation Talks with Sarah - these happen at the beginning of our training cohorts and provide a space to ask questions and get oriented with your training plan. 
  • Nutrition Calls with special guests - these talks happen quarterly, with guest speakers addressing specific nutrition topics we see coming up in our community. 
  • Outdoor Allyship Speaker Series - this series is near and dear to the Mind & Mountain mission! Each quarter we will host a guest expert that will help us learn how we can make outdoor spaces more welcoming and safe for all. 
  • Quarterly Learning from Sarah - featuring a new topic each quarter, we'll gather to explore our nervous systems, weakest link syndrome, workout perfectionism, and more.

Visit the Events section in the community to RSVP to the events you are interested in. RSVPing allows you to add the event to your calendar and receive reminder emails so you know when events are happening. 

Accountability Tools

Cohorts 

We offered our training programs in cohorts for years and still do! We will announce cohort start dates ~a month ahead of time at which point you can opt-in if you'd like to be on the same schedule as another group of people. 

We've found that training in cohorts is great for the extra accountability and umph of inspiration that can come knowing that many others are working through the same or similar things in the program as you! 

Our upcoming cohort dates are as follows:

Star Charts

We love using a workout calendar/star chart to track workouts and increase positive associations with exercise - every time you add a star to your chart it’s a mini-celebration ⭐️ 🎉

Those who opt to participate in a cohort will also have an option to have a star chart and stickers mailed to them. Otherwise, you may print your own start chart here: 

Accountability Buddies 

The community is an excellent place to find an accountability buddy to work out with, check in on, and receive support from. Vanessa will pair people who are interested at the beginning of our seasonal cohorts, keep an eye on the community or reach out to Vanessa to let her know you’re looking! 

The Annual Training Cycle 

Mind & Mountain’s programs are made to support your outdoor adventures, no matter what time of year! Instead of the same program year-round, we offer training plans made especially for summer, winter, & shoulder seasons.

We train in seasonal cycles & peaks, using periodization to build and rest intentionally, so our growth aligns with nature's rhythms.
