Donate to the Green Urban Lunch Box FruitShare Program
The Green Urban Lunch Box (GULB) is a tiny nonprofit organization in Salt Lake City. Their mission is to empower people to connect to their food and community by revitalizing urban spaces and building a resilient food culture and more inclusive food system. FruitShare is GULB's residential fruit gleaning program that connects fruit tree owners to volunteers to harvest their fruit. Oftentimes, fruit trees produce way too much fruit for one family and most of the perfectly good fruit goes to waste. FruitShare redirects this fruit from the landfill and distributes it to feed folks in need. Since 2013, they have rescued and redistributed 370,000 pounds of fruit. However, this costs money! In addition to the volunteers who donate their time to participate in the harvesting process, GULB needs funding to pay their staff livable wages and to maintain daily operations (gas for the vans, electricity for refrigerated storage). GULB's end of year campaign aims to raise $4,000 for FruitShare-- even a small donation helps a lot.

Reduce Harms of Alcohol Use with Recover Alaska
We make connections with healthcare providers, prevention workers, peer support specialists, and individuals seeking information and support. We elevate the conversation by raising awareness of the negative impacts of excessive alcohol consumption and advocating for legislation and policies that will help reduce alcohol misuse and create safer, healthier environments. We shift perceptions to reduce the stigma around alcohol disorders, normalize sobriety, and celebrate recovery. And, we work upstream, coordinating a statewide alcohol misuse prevention alliance for health and wellness.

Sponsor A Kindergartner at Education for the Children in Jocotenango, Guatemala
Due to economic and hurricane distress, Education for the Children needs extra help this year sponsoring their incoming class of kindergartners.
Education for the Children has worked with disadvantaged young people and families from the Jocotenango, Guatemala area since 2003 to access quality education, nutritious food, healthcare and social support. We aim to empower young people with the skills and confidence to be successful in their chosen careers.
