Hey! Did someone forward you this link?

That's awesome and we're so glad you're here! To make the most of this trial - insert your name and email below and you will receive the support emails that will help you get the best results with this two week plan:

Let's Get Started

Welcome to the Mind & Mountain 2-week trial! This page is your main homepage for the duration of the trial -- we recommend bookmarking it for easy access.

In this two-week trial, you'll get to try out our free workouts and Active Recovery Day activities to get a sense for how a Mind & Mountain Training cycle works. Our hope for you over these next couple of weeks is that you get a feel for Mindful Interval Training methodology and be able to make an informed decision about if our training programs are a fit for you.

You'll be introduced to the Mind & Mountain training philosophy in the workouts and in the email workout nudges we'll be sending you over the next two weeks. These emails are designed as simple reminders (we know how easy it is for good intentions to fall off the priority list!) as well as an introduction to the training philosophy we have here at Mind & Mountain. Tap into the Nurture Nugget email sections especially to maximize the benefits of the next two weeks!

Next, let's talk schedule!

Schedule

Our programs are all based on a 3x a week workout schedule with two days of Active Recovery, one day for a Long Day Outside, and one day for Rest. See the visual below if that's helpful!

For the sake of this two week training period, we won't get too far down the rabbit hole of the ways you can modify this, but please know that you can! If you only have time for two workouts a week, do that. This program is made to fit your life, not the other way around (and lots of folks get great results with the adjusted 2x weekly schedule)

Workout Calendar / Star Chart

A Star Chart is one of the favorite tools that we employ in our Mind & Mountain programs. If you enroll in our paid programs we will mail you a star chart & stickers to keep track on - for this free trial you can download and print your own - click here for a summer star chart - click here for winter!

Here are some important things to remember if you decide to use a star chart for the next two weeks:

  • Give yourself a star every time you complete a workout or an activity or rest day. It's a micro-celebration each time that helps your brain build positive associations with exercise!
  • This workout calendar is a suggestion, and you're welcome to adjust the specifics to meet your needs. Flexibility & adaptation for your own body/life/needs are encouraged.
  • Make sure to give yourself 36-48 hours of recovery between your high-intensity workouts. If you need to do Mind & Mountain workouts on back-to-back days, for one of the days keep the intensity lower (>L8).
  • Remember that perfection isn't the goal, and measure up from 0%!

Welcome to Your Mini-Library!

This is where you will find links to all of the workouts, options for your Active Recovery days, and some mini Mindset lessons that will help support you through the next two weeks.

Workouts:

Full transparency - these workouts were not originally designed to be in a series. All that means for you is that there are a couple of moves that we repeat in here. You'll still get a feel for what our workouts are like, and we promise there's less repetition in our paid programs. Here are your links:

Active Recovery:

Active Recovery days are for moving your body in a way that feels good and helps our muscles recover from the workouts. These are great days for outdoor time, or for more mellow indoor movement. We've pulled some videos from our Active Recovery Library (access included in Ski Babes and Summer Strong) to get you started, as well as a list of activities for you that could count as Active Recovery if you want a break from the screen!

Active Recovery Activities list:

  • go for a walk, hike, bike, or jog
  • go skiing, snowboarding, or ice skating
  • do some gardening
  • shovel your driveway
  • play tag with your kids
  • take the dog for a walk
  • clean house
  • or anything that sounds good to you!

Mindset Tools:

We talk a lot in the support emails about our training philosophy and some of the mindset lessons we practice. We believe these mindset tools are helpful and can benefit anyone, which is why we've also included snippets of our full mindset lessons as free content over the years. Here we've gathered some mindset tool links for you so you can get to know the Mind part of Mind & Mountain, whether you are receiving our support emails or not.
